Make a

moment.

There’s something about slowing down. Sifting a little green. Whisking until it’s just right. Making an ordinary moment feel a little less ordinary.

Ours begins with organic ceremonial matcha from Japan. Where you take it from there is up to you.

We went to Japan for the matcha. We came back with a deeper love for the people behind it.

In Uji and Wazuka, generations of tea farmers turn care, patience, and a first spring harvest into something extraordinary. We bring that same spirit to our little corner of Cape Town.

Let’s talk matcha ↗

Which matcha should I start with?+

Start with Signature if you’re new to matcha or love a latte. It’s the Yabukita matcha we serve in our Sea Point bar. For a deeper cup enjoyed straight, try the Okumidori Master’s Reserve.

Where does your matcha come from?+

Japan. Signature comes from Uji, Kyoto, and Master’s Reserve comes from Wazuka. Both are organic, first-flush, single-cultivar matcha.

How do I make my first bowl?+

Sift 1–2g into a bowl. Add 45–50ml of water at 70°C, then whisk in a brisk M motion until a fine froth forms. Enjoy as is, or add your favourite milk for a latte.

Do you deliver across South Africa?+

Yes. Orders ship from Cape Town, with standard delivery usually taking 3–5 working days. Standard shipping is R69 and express is R140; the final shipping cost is confirmed at the official checkout.

How should I store my matcha?+

Keep it sealed in the fridge, away from light and moisture. Let the tin sit out for a few minutes before opening to help prevent condensation.

Your little
bag of good.

A little care in every cup. The Nice To Matcha ritual.
